GRAND OPENING JUNE 30, 2007

After 4-1/2 years of planning, fund raising and the efforts of many groups both large and small, our dream is finally about to become a reality.

In addition to the Playground itself, the “jewel” of the playground will be the sensory garden, which has been planned by South Windsor’s “Down to Earth” garden club with the assistance of two master gardeners who are graduates of the UCONN Master Gardener program.

Another unique feature of the playground will be the “Sound Play” area of the Sensory Garden which the South Windsor Junior Women’s Club has sponsored.

Maneely’s of South Windsor is supplying us with hotdogs and hamburgs for lunch. The Super Sixties Club has volunteered to prepare it for us.
